Drive decomposition and nutrient cycling, increase cation exchange capacity and improve soil health

ZyDrive is made up of two synergistic parts – humic acid and enzymes. Humic acid is the building block of stable soil organic matter and has a CEC of over 300 mEq/gram. The enzymes in ZyDrive drive soil reactions that build soil structure and release available nutrients into the soil solution. This combination of enzymes and humic acid releases locked up nutrients (decomposition), holds nutrients in the soil (CEC), and builds soil structure over time.

ZyDrive contains enzymes that microorganisms use to break down cellulose, starch and other sugars in the soil. Together these enzymes work by decomposing tissues from leaves, roots, stalks, worms, beetles, and any other formally living plants or animals in the soil. ZyDrive drives the breakdown of tissue in the soil, freeing up nutrients for uptake. This same tissue breakdown provides energy to soil microorganisms, increasing microbial activity that drives nutrient cycling, soil aggregation, root health, and many other beneficial activities. Over time, tissue cannot be broken down further leaving behind stable soil organic matter.

Humic acid is the building block for soil organic matter – and is in turn the building block of healthy soils with good soil structure. Humic acid is one component of humus, the final surviving product of soil plant and animal tissue decomposition. Buildup of humus from natural decomposition in the soil takes many years. Fortunately for us, humic acid can be extracted from mined lignite. So, rather than waiting for years to amass humus from microbial decomposition, we can jump start the collection of stable soil organic matter by applying humic acid.
